Hi, I’m Phil McBride - strength & conditioning coach, educator, and the founder of Phil McBride Health & Fitness.

I coach in person in Exeter, UK and remotely throughout the world, where I help clients build strength that carries over into every part of life; whether that’s hitting personal bests, recovering after illness or injury, or just moving better and feeling stronger every day.

With a PhD in physical activity science and over a decade of experience coaching people from all walks of life, from complete beginners to high-level athletes.

I specialise in:

  • Strength and fitness training for long-term health

  • Rehabilitation after stroke and injury

  • Exercise coaching for people with type 2 diabetes

  • Performance-focused strength and conditioning

 

I believe that training should be simple, structured, and empowering; and that everyone deserves access to evidence-based coaching in a supportive environment.

  • BSc in Applied Health & Exercise Science

  • NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist

  • Functional Rehabilitation & Exercise Training after Stroke

  • Level 4 Physical Activity & Weight Management for people with Obesity and Diabetes

  • Level 3 Diploma in Exercise Referral

  • Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training
